THE FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT COLLECTION
"The Boulder" (1898) |
"The Boulder" is a replica of the statues that are perched upon piers flanking the entry to the Frank Lloyd Wright Home and Studio, in Oak Park, Illinois, (1898). Wright collaborated with Richard Bock, to create the sculpture, which symbolizes the struggle of the opressed and shackled soul to break its bond, and find self-expression.
