Installation:
When installed outdoors, we recommend placing the statues and pedestal onto a surface that will allow for some drainage such as gravel, rocks, brick pavers or similar. We do not recommend placing the statues or pedestal directly onto garden soil or mulch as this will allow the statue or pedestal to "wick" water or moisture, never allowing it to dry out.
Below are some ideas on how to handle this.
You can purchase a large planter saucer (with a drainage hole in it), fill it with coarse sand or pea gravel and partially bury it up to the rim. Or the statue or pedestal can be placed onto brick pavers which can also be partially buried. In both cases, this will allow for proper drainage.

Cleaning and care:
When installed outdoors, the statues and pedestal will naturally weather and patina over time. Many people desire a natural moss build up. If you would like to clean these items, we suggest a solution of white vinegar and water with a soft brush for cleaning. DO NOT POWER WASH THE STATUES OR PEDESTAL as a power washer is typically too powerful for the statue and pedestal to withstand the pressure and can cause damage.
If located in an extremely cold climate, it may prolong the life of the statue and pedestal if taken into a garage or closed porch area, for the Winter months.
